A Guide to Choosing and Caring for your Pet Rabbit!
Aside from appearance, there are a number of considerations that you will have to make when it comes time to pick out your fuzzy friend at a pet store or other venue. This is important both to ensure that you select a healthy pet, and to make sure that you and your new rabbit are compatible.
1. Healthy weight, not fat but not too skinny
2. Fur should be clean and no bare spots
3. Clean ears
4. Bright eyes
5. Moist nose, but not runny
6. Quiet breathing, not labored
7. Move free, not lame
8. Clean surroundings
9. Not jumpy (no pun intended)
The rabbit should not be afraid of human contact.
